We have a townhome thats about 15 years old. The water pipes makes this loud fog horn type noise when ever we flush the toilet down stairs in the half bath. This is a 2.5 bath townhome. Also we notice a knocking sound when we run the water in the master bath. Could you please help us in taking care of this problem. I don't want any pipes bursting this winter.
Thanks in advance

| 2 thing are happening, the toilet that you flush that causes the noise needs a new ballcock, or float ball assembley if you will. Second. there may be air in the lines. shut the water down to the home and open ever faucet in the house. tubs and showers as well. flush the toilet too. once the water is all drained down. close all the faucets and turn the water back on. open each faucet to let the air out. starting with the lowest working your way to the highest. That should remove the air from the lines. oh. make sure you open any outside faucets as well. i hope this helps. |
