I have a light switch next to my back door. It has two toggle switches right now. One controls a porch light, the other controls a ceiling fan. I need to have another switch to control an outdoor motion sensor light I'm installing. Is it ok to install a three-toggle light switch where the existing two toggle switch is now? If so, how do I do it. Or do I have to open up the wall board and create a junction box? There isn't much room in the attic above this light switch because this room is an add-on family room. Thanks for your help

Sorry... I have been away... you can purchase (if you haven't already solved you challenge) a stacked toggle switch to put in the existing box and not have to add another. You will need to get a plate that looks like it is configured for a switch and plug combo for it... both are available at any home improvement store.
