| I have a really cool vintage motorcycle headlight that I want to make into an indoor lamp. How do I change the power supply from a battery to standard indoor electric power cord. Will a regular lamp kit work or does the headlight have to be converted somehow? |

| If you don't want to butcher up the insides of the light by putting in a standard screw in socket that would then have a common plug in cord you would have to go with a small halogen bulb or other low voltage system and this would have a transformer with a common plug in cord. If you insist on using the original bulb then you need to step down the voltage with a small transformer and this would use a common plug in cord. If you don't know much about this stuff you will need preferably a liscenced electrician who can safely set it up for you. An amature could leave you with a fire hazard or worse. |
