HI PLUMBERS. IM HAVING TROUBLE WITH A LEAK IN A BATHROOM. I PUT ALL THE WATER OFF AND CAPPED THE ENDS OF THE SINK PIPES NO PROBLEM. WHEN PUTTING THEM BACK ON, THEY BEGAN TO LEAK. I PUT A JOINING COMPOUND PASTE ON THE THREADS AND THEY STILL LEAKED . I EVENTUALLY GOT IT TO STOP AND THE MAIN STOP TAP STARTED TO LEAK . I TIGHTENED THE NUT AT THE TOP AND IT STOPPED. NOW WHEN I TURN ON THE TAPS I HEAR A DULL DRONING
NOISE . THIS JOB IS DRIVING ME CRAZY . CAN ANYONE HELP. ALSO WHAT CAN I USE TO TIGHTEN THE NUTS UNDER THE SINK MY MOLE GRIPS ARE NO USE THEY ARE TOO BIG.THANKS FOR YOUR HELP FOLKS.

Probably better to get a plumber for an hour.

Agree with thescruff but turn the caps lock off - its considered as shouting in a forum enviroment.
