Hi all,
I've got problems with my boiler. It run fine for about thirty minutes and got everything nice and warm then shut down. The pump runs when there is a demand for heat or water but the boiler doesn't come to life, the fan doesn't run so nothing else works from then. Any ideas....? Any help is much appreciated..... |

The boiler has a set start up procedure;
You need to follow the manual and post what happens before it stops.
E>G> how many neons are lit, pump running, fan running. electric on and fuses ok |

Thanks for reply,
My main problem was the lack of manufacturers instructions but have now managed to download a copy which has helped a good deal.
Only the 1st neon is lit and manufacturers instructions pointed to testing the resistance of the thermistor which was within their spec, which according to them points to the pcb being faulty. I do hope that is the problem as I've already started trying to source a new one.
Thanks again for your time

If you have the PCB that has 6 neons then the chances are that the board is the problem.
Glowworm had problems with this board and was redesigned (twice??) so the replacement looks different. Also there are only two neons now.
Make sure you get the correct one as there is one for the smaller boilers without pump overrun and another for those boilers with overrun.
NOTE: Just thought this PCB also fits the Hideaway so make sure the 'jumper' on board is set correctly as per instructions that come with it. |
