|
|
Hi!
I've just moved into a house and the radiators have all got lovely new-ish (well five / ten years old but who's counting) looking TRVs on them.
Problem is in the bedroom one of the covers appears to be missing and the radiator is now on full blast all the time - not very energy saving! I was just going to buy a new TRV and use the cover over the top of the existing mechanism but do they need to be the same brand? At the moment all that is there is a thin "pole" about 60mm high and 1mm in diameter sticking up from the place I would expect the TRV to be. I've never looked inside a thermostat so I've no idea if that's standard or unusual - any expert opinions most appreciated!
Thanks |

That description just about covers every valve made!
Is there a makers name on the others otherwise a picture of one of them is needed. Yes replacement head MUST be the same make 99.9% of the time.
Might be simpler, and cheaper, to just replace the valve complete. |
