Hi,

I have really reduced flow in my hot water and we have determined it is because the person who plumbed the kitchen in my flat ran the pipes up into the attic, round the walls then down into the kitchen.

What I am looking to do is install a pump in the attic to increase the water pressure that will only activate when the hot water is turned on. I have seen pumps ranging from £45 up to £500. I was just wondering if you could recommend a pump that would do the job. Also can these pumps be self installed or would I need a plumber to do the job for me?

Cheers

John

That all depends on the type of boiler and hot water system you have.

As to whether you could fit a booster pump yourself that would depend on your plumbing skills!
