I have just taken over the role of janitor at an apartment block and all the plug sockets in the communal areas have a round pin at the top and what looks like two normal pins at the bottom. I need an adaptor but everyone I have asked so far has looked backed at me blindly. Can you help?

They are landlords sockets, designed so people cant steal the electricity or put there tumble dryers on the landing.
Goto city electrical factors or edmundsons or any large electrial wholesaler and ask them to order them in for you.
