I have an S Reg Omega 2.5 GLS Automatic that has only done 54000 genuine miles

When the engine is cold the engine management light comes on (The orange one with the lightning in) and the power is restricted ( I have heard it called get home mode?) once the car has warmed a little. normaly after a mile the power comes back and the light goes out. Then all is fine. It does very very Occasionly come on if struck in traffic for any length of time but the again goes out after the car stars moving.

I did have this problem before but replaced the a Valve that sorts out exhaust gases (ERG valve ??? sorry if wrong) which sits on top of the engine. which solved the prob.

Also the car seems to be losing water about a 1/2 a pint a week but can't find where from, but can smell it when stationary. Don't know if linked.

The Cam belt and radiator thermostat were replaced about 6 months ago.

Any help will be apprieciated
