I have a 1973 house with aluminum branch wiring that is all run in flexible metal conduit, but all of the bathrooms and bedrooms are on the same circuit and the main panel has no room remaining for additional circuits.
I am currently rinstalling a new basement bath and hooking the electrical into a new 50 amp sub which I'm installing in the in the mechanical room. The two upper baths are directly above the basement bath and while everything is exposed I thought I'd load their two outlets onto the basement bath GFCI, thus bring them to the sub panel.
My question is: Does this pose a grounding concern with the outlets being grounded to the original service panel via the metal box and FMC, AND the new sub panel? The sub panel is grounded back to the main panel via 10awg solid THHN, and supplied via 3 #8 THHN. Thank you. |
