Hi everyone
Hope someone can offer some advice sharpish...
Yesterday the hot water stopped working for no explainable reason! I've tried turning the heating on & the boiler isn't striking up!
So I now have no hot water & no heating!
We have a gas Ideal boiler in the kitchen with a digital stat in the hall. I can hear it click on but the boiler isn't responding.
Upstairs in the airing cupboard the cylinder has a silver 'dome' almost like a hydrolic component in front of it. There is no immersion switch.
Hope someone can help...

It could be the programmer as you say you only have 1 valve. Or it could be the boiler. You will need somebody with a meter and knowledge of heating wiring to check it out.
