Hi

Two things to check include:

1) On the IncrediMail file menu, make sure [Work Offline] is not selected, if it is then unselect it - it will only check mail when you ask it to if this is checked.

2) On the IncrediMail [Tools] menu, under the [Options] item, on the [General] tab, at the bottom of the dialog box is a section headed 'Send and Receive', and you can place a check mark next to the item [check for new messages every x minutes], make sure this is set to the number of minutes you would like it to check your mail for you.

Cheers

Nick

Also on the General tab of the Tools->Options screen, ensure [Launch IncrediMail on Startup] is ticked.

If you believe it is Vista that is causing the problem, then it is more than likely the firewall that is preventing the background IncrediMail utility from connecting to the internet, open your firewall options and ensure you enable internet access for the "IMApp" or IncrediMail application.

Also, the IncrediMail site specifies Vista as currently not fully supported, see http://www.incredimail.com/incredimail/help_center/help_article.aspx?article_id=263&lang_id=9
