Hello, I'm a newbie top this wonderful forum. I have hardwood flooring in my family room on the 1st floor. My 3 bedrooms upstairs as well as my hallway and stairs all are carpeted. I'm not a big fan of carpet and would like to put hardwood in my master bedroom and hallway upstairs. My question is. do I have to go with the same colour of hardwood as my family room downstairs? Also do you think It would look great with the master and hallway in hardwood. I've got 2 small children and would like to keep their rooms carpeted. Is it possible to do the stairs in hardwood? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Peter.
