2 zone heating problem

I have a house with a two zone system. The problem is that the second floor isnt getting any heat but the first floor is. All the wires seem to be connected, there are no breaks that I know about. The only thing I can thing of is that the thermostat on the second floor is broken or the zone valve is broken. The zone valve is a taco zone valve. I want to know if there is any easy way to tell what is wrong? any suggestions would be helpful.
