Can anyone help me with any information on a dorran construction property. built 1960. what are the problems with these dorran construction houses. any info would be greatly appreciated. went to view a property which looks great and great price but because its a dorran construction thats why its so cheap.

Dorran concrete construction homes fall within the classifications relating to Precast Reinforced Concrete. Precasting is used to produce standard concrete products under factory conditions. The moulds are purpose-made, often incorporating vibrators to compact the concrete. Units may be cured under normal environmental conditions or by accelerated methods. Pre-tensioning may be used to produce prestressed units. You should be aware that as Dorran concrete homes are of 'non traditional' construction, the interest rate applied for your mortgage or remortgage can be slightly higher than those of traditional builds. Please bear this in mind when applying for a mortgage or remortgage for a concrete home, house, flat or bungalow.
