What do I use to fix vertical battens to lightweight blocks for external tile hanging please. I have reclaimed Keymer arrowhead tiles that are wider than the usual modern ones but of course heavy. I aways understood one used cut nails but they seem to come out easily.
Help please! Question

It would be safer to fix the batons to the wall using 100mm screws (galvanised) and wall plugs, it would be time consuming but safety always comes first.
