Hello
I am thinking about buying a 1971 house which has artex ceilings I want to get rid of. I realise that artex at this age might have asbestos in it.
Can anyone tell me, do i need to have it removed by a proffesional or can it be smoothed over with a product on the market. I'm not really sure how to approach it
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

the usual advice is wear a dust mask knock off the high points and skim
doesnt the council do an asbestos checking service!!!!
might be worth checking with neibours of simmilar flats if they know of asbestos artex in there flats
or if ex councill ask the council
