I am currently experiencing noise problems on ground lines. We have several heavy pieces of machinery attached to a single ground source. I have started to separate the grounds for each piece of equipment in the hopes of alleviating cross talk between the earth grounds. I am using a megger to check the continuity between the separate earth grounds and am getting around 30 - 40 Megaohms between the ground rods (which are about 20 feet apart from one another). Is this normal? (I have not attached the ground wires to the grounding rods, I am merely measuring the potential between the rods themselves)

Thanks!
