| We live in an old terrace (1899) every time the neighbours light their coal fire our living room wall behind their fire, heats up to quite a degree, almost radiator level and some smoke and fumes enter our living room from under the skirting. How serious is this? do they simply need to reline part of their chimney? |

Good question bifrost.
I have exactly the same problem with my neighbours chimney.
What to do, I havn't figure out yet but he will have to do something as it gets quite bad some days.
Knock down and rebuild, reline ? could be expensive from his point of view.
For now get a CM detector fitted somewhere handy to the area as it could be dangerous. |
