no picture on screen

i have a computor and there is power i checked all leads but no picture on screen at all tried the monitor on friends screen but still would not come on do you know what this could mean many thanks debbie Question

Internal fault on monitor, is it a standerd CRT or a flat screen?

there is power as lights are on but nothing appearing on the screen, i put my friends monitor to the harddrive machine nothing appeared on that screen either.

yes all set up correct but no picture still all power lights are on

Then Im afraid it will have to got to a specialist as there is not alot you can do inside them without the correct gear+there are some very high voltages present.

You say you put your monitor on you're friends machine and her monitor on your machine.

Try plugging you're friends monitor in your machine using her leads.

Next, and I don't know if this applies to your setup. I have a multi purpose monitor and it needs to be tuned into the pc, cctv, tv or video.

Your computor may not recognise another monitor without configuring it first.

I suspect an installation fault rather than an electrical one
