I love the Craftsman/Mission/Arts & Crafts style, and while I don't want to do a slavish reproduction, I do want to incorporate it into my home. The problem is the sofa -- we don't like the Craftsman style, with the squared-off, hard wooden arms. Is there another style that would harmonize with Craftsman?

Also, I'm hoping next summer to paint the walls and add a wallpaper border -- see http://www.bradbury.com/thatch_arcadia.html in the thatch color. What color might I paint the walls to harmonize? Try to match the background color?

Thanks for any and all ideas.
