| I have an older house with a rather large attic fan. I love this fan it pulls air from outside and the basment and cools the house by about ten degrees. The fan stopped working. I went to the hardware store to find a replacement and could not find one as large as the one in the house. I was told that I would have to relpace it with a smaller one. I want to know if it would be wise to replace it or to have this one fixed, it possibly needs a new motor. The house's square footage is 864 feet. How can I check to find out what might be wrong with the fan? |

If you like what you have and it works for you... you may want to see if you can replace just the motor. You will have to decide which will be more cost effective and easier to do. Without being able to see what you have I can't make that decision for you. Hope you get it fixed soon as it has been so incredibly hot this summer.
