Please help as I've no hot water!!!!!!

How can I tell whether its my 3 port motorised valve or controller thats busted? The valve is stuck on Heating only, manual override won't even work. boiler is firing up as normal, tank seems to be full of hot water so its either the controller not telling the valve to move or its the valve thats knackered. Obviously I don't want to spend £100 on replacing both so would like to know if there's a test/bypass I can do to find out which is shot.

Hope you can help

Regards,

Dave
