| under scottish law does a person charged with driving under the influence of ***** have to be tried within a certain time limit,and if this is the case,what happens when the limit has been breached?i was stopped over 2 years ago,passed all the roadside tests put to me by the police and let go on my way.about 500 yards down the road the same police car pulled me over and arrested me.at the station i voluntarily gave a blood sample yet i am still waiting for a trial date.cheers for your intrest |

Can't answer your question but as far as I'm aware they cannot let you go, and arrest you for the same offence 500 yds down the road.
if they suspected you were driving under the influence, it would be criminal to let you continue, sounds like they made a booboo and have decided to forget about it. |
