Hi All,

Could anybody suggest a good way of keeping next doors cats out of my garden? Mad

So far, they have ruined a wooden garden bench, which got scratched & shredded. Evil or Very Mad
They p*** over anything in my garden that has a cover on it ( new garden furniture, BBQ). Evil or Very Mad
They pi***d all over my daughters new paddling pool ( all over the valves, and I'm not putting my mouth near them again! ). Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad
The fence paint is getting worn & shredded after 3 years of them climbing my fence, and I've had enough.
Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

I have heard that putting gripper rod on the tops of the fence is good deterrant, and I've never seen these cats squeeze under the small gap under the gates. So this could be the only way?
I have tried cat repellent, which smells of strong garlic, but the cats just sunbathed next to it on top of my shed !!!! Confused

Any ideas ( short of machine gun posts) would be greatly appretiated

Regards

Roy

hi mate,
in my veiws you have two options if you are not prepared to use the machine gun.
1. buy a big dog and let it **** in your neighbours garden on a regular basis.
2. move house

Okay, don't laugh... A friend of mine puts bottles of water around his garden. He used to have a cat problem but now he doesn't. I don't think he owns a machine gun so it must be down to the bottles of water. Don't ask me how or why it works, it just does (apparently!)
Let me know if it works for you!

No, the water bottles work because cats dont like reflections.
