I'm confused Rolling Eyes My daughters 29 year old boyfriend wants to borrow my car which is comprehensively insured for me, my hubby and daughter. He says that because he has fully comp insurance for his own car (which is off the road at the mo) his insurance allows him to drive any other car.

Can you tell me if in the event of an accident happening while he was driving it...would he only be covered 3rd party, thus only other damaged cars would be paid for under insurance and not the one he was driving.

As far as I understand your thinking is correct.

I think you can add him as a named driver but do check first as insurance Company's just love an excuss to not payout

Definitely only 3rd party.
I have heard some companys will cover extra driver for £8 to &10 per day.
