I have a judgement posted to my credit because of a loan my ex-wife defaulted on while I was in service in Iraq last year. Is it possible to have this taken to court to have removed from my credit if she claims full responsibility? It is for a large sum of money, and I had no idea it had happened until I went to purchase a house and saw it on my credit. I never considered she wasnt paying on time. I personally was never notified of the court dates, she was and ignored them. Please advise. I am willing to go bankrupt if that will solve this issue. She has screwed me for the last time.
Thank you- |

You need to chuck some good money at a Solicitor to sort this out unfortunately.
Not sure how your legal system works but over here going bankrupt does't discharge the debt, and could make it worse.
Another way out would be to contact the debtor and see if some arrangment could be worked out. |
