Hi, I'm currently tiling the walls of my new bathroom and after boxing in some pipework I wanted to tile over the wood. Fortunately I only tried sticking one tile onto the wood before I had to stop for the night, as next morning I found the tile broken into three pieces on the floor What do I need to do to make the tile stay put, do I need a different adhesive for sticking onto wood or should i scrap the idea of tiling my pipe box |

Tile adhesive suitable for wood would be a good idea.
Sounds like you are doing the whole house up from your previous posts.

Thanks for your reply Vince. I think the adhesive I used was suitable for wood as well as on plaster etc... maybe my kids had been fiddling with the tile and are not owning up to it. I will try sticking new ones on tomorrow. Yes the whole house is needing blitzed. Its an old victorian manse (scottish vicarage) and I think very little has been done decor wise since it was built
