I have just this week (January 20) planted one crepe myrtle and one dogwood seedlling. I got these free from the bank. My question is do I need to cut them back a bit now that they are in the ground.

I live in the Atlanta Metro Georgia area, I have planted them in a bed with potting soil mix into the red clay and top soil.

Don't know the answer but must have a look see what I can find.

Is the Dogwood the flower with the bright red specks almost like its on fire at about easter time and like wet ground
