|
|
I have just painted my son's bedroom with silk emulsion. Have tried to apply a self adhesive border round the room but it won't stick for any more that a few minutes before it starts to remove itself from the wall. How can I stick this border permanently please.
Thanks Andrea |

Andrea,
brush hand asked if it was the type with the peal off tape or the wet it sort, then he said if it is the peal off type take it back because it should stick or you have a bad batch.
being a really good brush hand thats slowing up for Christmas, he suggested you should buy a ready mixed border adhesive.
Silk emulsion is about the best finish for sticking things too and you shouldn't be having this problem |

Brush hand said the peal off stuff is contact adhesive you have to get it right first time or scrape it off in bits.
If yours isn't sticking there's something wrong with it.
On another note it's nice to see you answer a few other question
Hope you stick around and answer some more from time to time.
Please |

Thanks scruff. If I feel I can contribute at all I am more than happy to share what I know. I am a qualified nurse, avid DIY enthusiast, built my boarding cattery from scratch (excuse the pun) and am now running my own cattery and small animal hotel business, so have learned about a lot of things.....also a wife and mother |
