The water coming from my water heater all the sudden got very hot. I have an Amtrol gas water heater and a Weil-mcclain boiler. When I emptied it to change the thermastat, the bottom wter was cool and the top was scalding. It seemed alright for a couple days, but now it is scalding again. The gage is set on the line between warm and normal. The system is 18 yrs old. Also, there is a buzzing soound coming from the boiler. Coould this be a cause? Please help? Thank you

Sorry, but I know nothing about these systems. Hoever if water is scalding and boiler is making buzzing noises then you need to call in someone quite quickly for your own safety.
