Acording to my sister-in-law because of possible complications and a sterile enviroment, personally I'm glad my two were born in hospital, both were an unexpected pain in the a*** delivery wise.

Can't say I'm with you on the sterile environment, Vince. My local hospital has MRSA, and has featured in the local paper after a patient uncovered bad hygiene practices.
Myself, I went to the kiddies dept with my 1 yo. to have a blood test. The nurse failed to wash her hands, failed to wear gloves and then to cap it all, took the protective backing off the plaster to cover his puncture wound and stuck it on the back of her hand first!!
Disgusting.
That is just one of the many reasons my wife would not want to give birth in there. |

I cant say much about the standards in your local hospital, it sounds terrible.

hello
i'm no midwife but would just like to say i had my 3rd child 2 months ago at home and i sooooo wish i had my other 2 at home rather than hospital as it was sooo much nicer, i was much more relaxed  |
