My house borders a park and there is a huge copper beach next to the fence I have asked to council if the could prune this for me and they say that copper beachs cannot be prunned as it damages the bark. Is this true? Rolling Eyes

Not so much the bark as the tree itself.

My all time favourite tree enjoy it, and gather the leaves for the garden as they contain Potash
