|
|
I am about to fit a Showerlux shower tray & cubicle. It is an offset showerround 1000 x 800 x 100.
The instructions advise to tile first then fit the tray, yet a plastic seal came with it? The instructions make no reference to this.
I intended to fit the tray then using the seal, tile to it and then fit the cubicle.
But the tiles are 12.5mm thick, adding the tile adhesive that takes the thickness to 14mm. Will this affect the fitting of the cubicle?
What would you suggest is the best way/method to install?
Thanks

Thanks so much for your quick reply poolcorgi - much appreciated!
But can you confirm that this won't offset the measurements of the cubicle that is to fit on top?
I agree with you, I want to fit as said but on measuring, I think this may offet the cubicle measurements????
I've never done this before, and the cubicle wasn't cheap, hence the hesitation.

Wait for it guys
I fitted the same shower tray and had the same problems.
Manufacturers answer is.
The tray was designed for continental use with thick tiles so you must tile first or the cubical will not fit, However, if using the thinner English tiles you should fit the tray first with the sticky strip ( that doesnt stick) and tile onto the tray.
Showerlux will hopefully get this sorted as they are a nice finish |
