|
|
I have a concession trailer that I bought a month ago... turns out it was wired horribly... 30amp into the trailer... to a 12-2 wire... to a 40 amp fuse box that was wired in reverse and the wires weren't even in there right. .. it is amazing that it didn't burn down... the whole trailer was running on 20 amps and we needed 120 amps...
So... we rewired the trailer correctly with a 125 amp box... but here is the problem...
An electrician gave me some 4 wire... 600V power cable... He told me we can get 120 amp through that line... I can only assume two 60amp hots...
But... How do I wire a single plug to it??? Or... do I need to run it twice... using 2 30 amp plugs... 30 amp per hot X 4 = 120.... then how do I wire it in the fuse box? Both blacks to one side... Both reds to the other??? Do I have to worry about feedback or anything like that?
Any help would be appreciated... |

What size is the cable, how long is the run from the supply to the trailer, what is the supply voltage, where are you picking up the ground connection?
