My car constantly smells of petrol when I am driving. If I turn the engine off, and return ten minuted later it smells worse. Is this dangerous, any advice please

You have a leak in the fuel line, either the flow to the carb or the return to the tank. Find as soon as poss as it is not go0od to inhale petrol fumes.

turned out to be the carbs had it
