What a great site!

I know that this issue has been brought up here and there but I put one of those 5 lighter low voltage halogen kits under my cabinets in the kitchen. They of course operate under a transformer. I have put in a conventional dimmer on the system. The dimmer works fine but buzzes which, I suspect has something to do with incompatibility between it and the voltage drop across the system. I really don't care about the buzzing because I've mounted everything in a junction box and can't hear it unless the cabinet is open. My question then is, can this cause a fire or anything I should be concerned with?

Thanks!
