hello, i've just replaced light fitting and when i turned the main mcb back on it blew and then i done some more work and it turned back on but when i turn on another light it doesn't work can you please help. many thanks peelos.

I'm guessing you have 3 blacks and 3 reds plus the earths.

Put the reds together in a connector block(not to the light fitting) or the terminal on the cieling rose marked LOOP.
2 of the blacks are neutrals and 1 of them is the reurning live from the switch.
You will need to find the single black with a tester if you have one.
The 2 blacks go to the blue(neutral of the light fitting and the single black(switch live) goes to the brown(live) of the light fitting.

You would not believe how common this is and get at least 3 calls a week to put it right LOL
