I'm installing a 2 ton mini split in the garage (where my main service panel is located).
The outside compressor needs to be powered by 220V and is located aproximately 25 feet from the main service panel.
The unit has a 9.5amp draw so i plan on feeding it with a 20 amp breaker.
The unit has 3 wires which i am assuming are 2 hot and 1 to the neutral bar.

Unfortunately i have no room in my existing panel so i an adding a sub panel next to it and splicing the hot wires that go to 2 slots on the existing panel and sending them to be fed from the new sub panel in order to make room for the feeder breaker (50amp).

With the scenario somewhat in place, here are my questions:

-Would 6/3 + ground be enough for the 50 amp sub panel?
-What gauge wire do i use from the 20 amp breaker to the compressor?
-How do i go from inside the garage to the outside service cutoff box?
-My nuetral bar is out of empty slots, can i add a second neutral bar bridged to the existing?
-My subpanel does not have a neutral buss bar, can i add one?

I know this is alot...Any bit of help shall be thanked.

Dave
