Can one assume that the wall is yours?
after all why would a builder put the rebate side of wall to the opposite side of the wall owner?
with our house the rebate (suporting side of wall is to us) we always assumed it was our wall.. the deeds show that the wall is not shared ownership..but not who owns it..the bulk of the wall is on our land.

It was generally assumed that the wall to the right looking out from back of the house is yours.
How that works in real situations I've no idea, but if you can prove the boundary and the wall is on your land then you could also assume its your wall. |

I think it depends on what the deeds say, as the last two properties I've owned its been to the left when veiwed from the front. My current house had a fence erected on my property on the other side as well because it is an open field.
