| i have recentely had fitted a ferroli optimax he 38c boiler and i want to fit a room stat. the stat i purchased is the siemens rev100 model, i have been told that the stat which needs to go with this ferroli boiler needs to be voltage free. the big question is, can this room stat be fitted with my boiler.. |

NO.
The stat you have is electronic and needs a supply to work.
Change it for something like a Honeywell that does not need a supply and connect accross terminals 1 and 3.

If it has volt free contacts then why does the spec sheet say ac24-240v.
It does not mention volt-free. The battery is for the display I think.  |

if its not voltfree contacts, how come other stats (eg honeywell cm901) say they are volts free, then stat that switches 24 -240 v.
i have been to plumbing and heating shops with this rev100 and knowbody seams to have a clue about this stat, even the wiring diagram suplied lokks a little confusing
maybe its just me

Honeywell stats dont have terminals 5 and 6  |

| misunderstanding here, my stats not a honeywell ,but i meant the terminals 5+6 in the boiler.even so ,what temp should the boiler be set at if i have a room stat? |
