| Now that summer's here should I turn off my central heating and hot water via the gas and just leave my imeersion on all the time or should I just use the hot water supplied from the gas? Trouble is I'm a bit confused because I was told that the immersion would give you hot water quicker and with three women in the house this can be a major problem! |

Hi there,
We are using our emersion heater for hot water now that it's the Summer. If we use the water switch buy turning on the gas, the house gets a little too warm.
We don't leave the emersion on all day as it would be too expensive, but for two people we have it on for about a 45mins to and hour a day. That gives us enough hot water to both have showers and enough to wash up. |

| Depends on the system, if its fully pumped and the MV works ok then the boiler is by far the cheapest way. |
