My cistern is overflowing through the overflow pipe and looking at the ball float and arm etc it could do with changing. Can I use this as a replacement ?

It says its is quieter and stops leaks. It is a straight swap and does this do away with the need for the overflow pipe?

Thanks

Yes it SHOULD fit ok but only you can see what space there is for it to fit in.

No you will still need overflow.
