can some one explain to me the issue of gas pipe under a floor in a duct, the specs are 0.01 to 0.05 ducting requires vents the cross section of the duct, i am confused about this, what exatly is it saying. all my traing manuals all say the same, they dont expand on it enough.
thanks |

Below certain crossectional area and volume ventillation is not required but above these limits, will post exact figures later, vents are required.
The size of these vents is equal to the cross sectional area of the duct. So if the duct is 5cm x 100cm then the vents need to have a free air rateing of 500 sq cm. |

thanks alan. its clear now. but if i was to run a 5x100 duct in a living room say. i suppose these ducts would run close to the skirting, i cant imagine running a duct down the centre of the room, and having two vents in plain sight. would that be accurate.
