Pressure gauge on cold water pipe

I have got a Ferroli 77 FFP (POPULAR) bolier which has a presuure gauge built within it. There is also a pressure gauge on the cold water pipe which is leaking at the moment. I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if a pressure gauge is needed on the cold water pipe seeing there's one already built into the boiler.
