We had a leaking tap in the bathroom upstairs. My partner turned the water off at the stopcock outside the house, but as we have a large tank in the attic - this needed to be drained before he could dismantle the tap to change the washer. We did this and put a new washer on. We then turned the water back on at the stopcock and the tank eventually refilled up with water in the attic, but we now only have a trickle of water running from all of the cold water taps in the bathroom and the toilet tank takes 15 minutes to refill. |

Classic signs of an airlock.
If you have a water vac simplest way is to connect it to slow running tap and suck the water through.
No water vac then get garden hose and connect between outside, or other mains fed tap, and slow running one. Turn on the latter first then the mains fed one. 30 seconds later problem solved. |
