i am training to be a heating engineer, at the moment till i see my instructor again inm confused about the anyliser reading.
i took a reading from my boiler, it read 0.0021 ratio. all my books tell me 0.004 is fine, so im confused as to read this as 0.002 and ignore the fourth dercimal place, or have i misunderstood it in some way.
the meter tells me i have 192ppm co, which seems high, can you clarify this for me so i can do some homework on this

A reading of less than 0.004 is considered ok. Your reading is 0.0021 which is less than 0.004.

'Ignoring' the fourth decimal place relates to basic maths and rounding to a certain number of decimal places. It does NOT mean the fourth decimal place is ignored. 0.0026 would bedome 0.003.

Regarding other values what does your boiler manufacturers instructions say? What does it give for a CO level?

thanks for your reply, as far as i am lead to understand a reading of 0.0008 is what i should be looking for, i have read and re-read all my training manuals and they all say 0.004 is good. but then there is a part where by after a service, and it gives a picture of the anyliser, 0.0008.
so i am really confused right now, my undertsanding is as ive said that 0.004 is good. 0.002 is better, but what is thowing me is the high co, which is 195ppm, can you clarify this issue for me please.
