I have just moved from a house with a pressurised heating system to ahouse with a "normal" heating system, not sure if it is vented or unvented system ( don't know the difference, excuse my ignorance).
Problem is that it takes forever for the hot water tank to get warm. Both the heating system and the water is heated from the same boiler, no seperate switiches to heat one or the otherseperately. When the water is drawn for a bath it starts to run cold after only a couple of minutes yet the heating would have been on for a few hours, the radiators would be very warm as would be expected. The system is about 12-13 years old.
Anyone experience this or could offer a solution?
Thanks

THE PROBLEM COULD BE EITHER THE FLOW SWITCHES OR MAYBE THE DIVERTER VALVE DIAFRAM

Need more info,

Boiler make and model.

Which draw-offs have the problem.

Which draw-offs are mixer taps and which have a mains cold.

Is this a new problem or an always done it.

Photo of the airing cupb showing the cylinder and pipework would be good

Boiler is a Warmflow Riello 40 G3B manufactured 1996.
Mainly the bath is the problem, obviously it has the biggest draw on the tank, haven't noticed the hot taps being an issue probably don't run for long enough to notice.
Mains cold are utility room, down stairs toilet Tap and cistern, en-suite tap and electric shower, kitchen sink.
Bathroom - bath has mixer from hot tank and cold water storage tank, toilet fed from cold water storage tank and wash hand basin is mixer from hot tank and cold water storage tank.

Problem has been there from i bought the house so can't tell exactly how long it has been like this.

I have photos but can up load them, don't know why, perhaps you can advise how this should be done?
Cheers!

Boiler model & type would help. Motorised valves?

Boiler make given is Warmflow but the Riello details refer to the burner not the actual boiler
