I'm currently extending my house and moving my kitchen to another room. I need to move the stop tap (currently under the kitchen sink) to the extension, where the new kitchen will be (about 3 meters away).

Does anyone know:

How much would this cost?
Who can do this work, and how big a job is it?

The house is a 1930s semi, the pipe going into the tap under the sink (from under the floor) is a brown metal one. There is about 2ft of space under the floorboards, and the extension will have similar. It might sound stupid, but this issue has only just occured to me! Please help!

It is possible for this to be done and would possibly take a day to complete. If you dont have an external stop tap than the water board will first need to come out and isolate the main supply on the street. The job involves a bit of digging and could cost £3-500

I'd feel guilty charging a hundred quid, but I don't do dig Laughing

You can alternately locate the stop tap under under the floorboards in the same location and place a access hatch there. Along with rerouting the pipe meant to come out from the ISV. This would possibly work out cheaper.
