I have a fairly new flat rubber roof that leaks days after a large snow accumulation. Is there a sealer that you could recomend that I can apply in the cold weather? I think ice is damming somewhere but have no idea where. Any ideas ?

How can you seal if you don't know where.

Stand back and look at the roof, its shape and its position, you should see a point where the wind could drive snow in, that snow then melts.

I was thinking of a sealer for the entire roof? Are there some kind of heating cables or something that's ok to install on a flat rubber roof ?

Thanks

I would not expect a fairly new roof to leak, I also assume it don't leak with normal rain.

Therefore your problem would appear to be a prevailing wind driving the snow either under the rubber surface or a flashing of some sort.

hmmm...you are right that it doesn't leak at all when it rains. Yesterday there was about 2 inches of ice on it that I hammered off, because it was leaking again. Any remedy ?
